One Loudoun is turning into Loudoun County’s hottest new destination. With many new bars, restaurants, retail and entertainment options, One Loudoun offers a unique blend of urban architecture and sophisticated culture rarely found anywhere else in Loudoun County. Located in the heart of Loudoun, on Route 7 and Loudoun County Parkway, One Loudoun was ranked #1 Community of The Year in 2015, and was also one of five nominees chosen from across the country to receive the silver award for Master-planned Community of the Year. It has also been nominated to compete for the sole winner of the gold award in that category.
One Loudoun is less than ten miles away from Washington Dulles Airport, George Washington University’s Science and Technology Campus, Northern Virginia Community College’s Loudoun Campus, the Silver Line Metro, and Loudoun Hospital Center at Lansdowne. There is also a Metro being built nearby in Ashburn, which will help skyrocket growth and enable quick and easy travel for those who commute to D.C. for work. One Loudoun combines over 1 million square feet of amenities and over 3 million square feet of office space. With the numerous awards received, One Loudoun is known as a prominent address for business. One of the most exciting perks of living in One Loudoun is The Club at One Loudoun, a community recreation center for residents. On a hot summer day, you will see plenty of people lounging underneath an umbrella next to the pool. Another perk for residents is The Barn at One Loudoun. One Loudoun has a great sense of community. The neighborhood is designed for people to be able to live their daily lives without ever needing a car. Grocery stores, restaurants, and corporate offices are all within walking distance of most houses located in this area, with paved paths allowing easy access. Some of the more popular entertainment destinations include the Alamo Drafthouse Cinema, a movie theatre which offers high quality drinks and meals to enhance the viewing experience, iFly, an indoor skydiving facility, and Top Golf. Popular dining options include Uncle Julio’s Fine Mexican Food, Matchbox, Bar Louie, and numerous others. One can pick up groceries at Trader Joes, get their hair styled, and shop at one of the many boutique stores…all within a short walk from home. One Loudoun is not just for young singles, it is also a wonderful place for those ready to raise a family. Students will have access to some of the top schools in the Loudoun County Public School System including Stuart Weller Elementary, Farmwell Station Middle School, and Broad Run High School. The condominiums, which are located closer to downtown, are typically 800-1,800 square feet and most contain 2 beds and 2 baths. The townhouses, with size ranges from 3,000-5,200 square feet, typically contain 3-4 beds and 3.5-6 baths. Many of the Townhouse and Condominiums also include a private rooftop deck available for tenets. The single-family homes typically contain 4 bedrooms with the option of an additional loft, 2.5 bathrooms, and a two-car garage and are 2,800-4,000 square feet… a great option for young families. The average price of a home in One Loudoun is $625,000.
During the summer, the plaza in front of The Alamo Drafthouse features live music and a splash pad, which is a favorite among the neighborhood kids. Another highly anticipated activity is the yearly Carnival, which is hosted in One Loudoun in mid-August. You will definitely want to check out the Farmers Market held year-round on Saturday mornings, and there are also plenty of holiday themed events that take place throughout the year, such as Tricks, Treats, and Tails for Halloween, a pet friendly Halloween celebration held in the plaza, or the annual Christmas Tree Lighting.
