River Creek is a private, gated community bordering the Potomac River at Goose Creek. The 600-acre community is a thoughtful integration of the River Creek Country Club’s 18-hole golf course and clubhouse, miles of walking trails and landscapes, and luxurious community amenities. Originally designed as 20 neighborhoods within one community, this diverse and tight-knit area is filled with beautiful single-family homes and townhomes.
River Creek is known for providing a classic country club lifestyle in a friendly, comfortable neighborhood. Excellent schools are close by, making River Creek an excellent spot for families to plant roots. Commuters also love the convenient location — it’s just minutes to downtown Leesburg, the Dulles Greenway, and the Leesburg Park and Ride lot. Amenities at River Creek include tennis courts, hiking and bike trails, adult and children’s pools, a fitness center, sand volleyball courts, basketball courts, a picnic area with swings, and playgrounds. Avid golfers also enjoy the pristine golf course, practice range, and putting green. There’s even a nearby marina with a launch area for canoes and kayaks! Owners are members of both the River Creek Country Club and the River Creek Owners Association and pay monthly dues to both. The Association is led by resident volunteers and managed professionally by an outside company. Residents also play a role in the Club committees, planning social activities for all ages.
River Creek is a part of the nationally renowned Loudoun County School District. Students who live in River Creek attend Frances Hazel Reid Elementary School, Harper Park Middle School, and Heritage High School. The surrounding area also includes plentiful options for daycare, preschool, and before- and after-school care. There are lots of great youth sports and recreational activities that kids can join as well!
Loudoun also has a brand-new high school located between Ashburn and Leesburg called the Academies of Loudoun. Completed in the summer of 2018, it is the largest high school facility in Loudoun County. The campus is situated on 119 acres of wooded area, and the 315,000 square foot building holds the Academy of Science, Academy of Engineering and Technology and Monroe Advanced Technical Academy. The three-story building has over 40 labs ranging from culinary arts to various engineering labs. Students can relax in various light-filled sitting areas, congregating and socializing with their classmates. The school serves around 2,500 students from local high schools who are selected during the fall and winter admission cycles.
Commuting from River Creek
River Creek is a great place to live for commuters making the trek into the DC Metro Area. Morning traffic leaving the neighborhood flows easily to major routes like Route 7, the Greenway, Riverside Parkway, and Route 15. With a nearby Park and Ride on Sycolin Road, residents enjoy easy access to Rideshare and buses to Tysons, DC, and the Silver Line on Metro.
